Red Star's hat-trick against Partizan for 37th star and ninth title in a row

Nothing new when it comes to football in Serbia - Red Star's dominance continues, the Belgrade club is the champion for the ninth year in a row.

The "red and white" reached their 37th star in the most beautiful way - with another victory over their biggest rival Partizan. In the 179th "eternal derby" it was 3:0 - for a hat-trick and all three victories over the "black and white" this season.

The goals for the championship celebration at "Marakana" were scored by Strahinja Eraković in the 18th minute, derby debutant Adem Avdić in the 69th minute and Seol Jung-Wu in the 88th minute.

Two Montenegrin footballers, Milan Vukotić and Milan Roganović, started for Partizan, while Andrej Kostić also came on in the 70th minute, but they also blended into the gray of the black and white team.

The Red Star Stadium thus remains unconquerable for Partizan for the ninth year in a row, as the "black and whites" last celebrated on the field of their biggest rival in April 2017 - 3:1, with goals from Leonard (two) and Leandro Tavamba.

"Because of games like this, the fans, the club, Belgrade, all of this cannot be described. Congratulations to the guys for their work and loyalty. We made the most of it, we celebrated in another derby," said Dejan Stanković, Red Star coach.

Domination in domestic arenas continues.

"It's easy to be a coach at Red Star. We have systematic work, support behind us, fans...", emphasized Stanković.

Red Star is celebrating the title, and Partizan is now risking second place and a place in the Champions League qualifiers - if Vojvodina beats Železničar, they will leapfrog the club from Humska in the standings.
