The season is coming to an end, and Arsenal is in the race for two trophies, two of the biggest cups - the London team is the leader in the Premier League with six points and a game in hand over Manchester City, while last night they secured a place in the Champions League final, for the first time in two decades.
The Gunners defeated Atletico Madrid (1:0) at home last night in the second leg of the semi-final, and will fight for their first European title in history in Budapest on May 30th.
"To be honest, I can't describe it. I think this is the best night at the Emirates I've ever been to, even better than the game against Real Madrid last year. When we were coming into the stadium, the bus stopped and I thought 'what's going on?' Because usually we just walk in. And now we saw the flares, the fans cheering us on and we all got goosebumps looking out the window. It was incredible," said Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice after the match.
Rice was delighted with the atmosphere.
"I've never seen the Emirates like this before, so a big thank you to the fans, because we needed it. You could feel the energy from everyone there. Even if you're tired, it gives you the energy to keep going, and I think the fans played a huge role in our victory."
Arsenal are waiting for PSG and Bayern to play the second leg in Munich tonight to find out who they will face in the final. PSG won the first leg 5-4.
"It's crazy to even say it. I can't wait for the final. I want to see every Arsenal fan in Budapest, 200.000 of them. We're going to need all the support and energy. Let's make it something really special," Rice said.
