The coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Sergej Barbarez, announced the list of players he is counting on for the upcoming World Cup.
BiH qualified for the World Cup through the play-offs, for the second time in history, and eliminated Italy in the play-off final in Zenica.
The list includes - goalkeepers: Nikola Vasilj, Martin Zlomislić, Osman Hadžikić;
defense: Amar Dedic, Nikola Katic, Stjepan Radeljic, Nidal Celik, Nihad Mujakic, Tarik Muharemovic, Sead Kolasinac;
midfield: Amir Hadžiahmetović, Ivan Šunjić, Benjamin Tahirović, Dženis Burnić, Armin Gigović, Ermin Mahmić, Ivan Bašić, Amar Memic, Kerim Alajbegović, Esmir Bajraktarevic;
attack: Samed Bazdar, Jovo Lukic, Haris Tabakovic, Ermedin Demirovic, Edin Dzeko.
The list also includes "reserves": Tarik Karić, Mladen Jurkas, Arjan Malić, Emir Karić, Jusuf Gazibegović, Ifet Đakovac, Dario Šarić, Amer Gojak and Haris Hajradinović.
BiH will play in Group B at the World Cup, which also includes Canada, Switzerland and Qatar. The "dragons" will play their first match against Canada on June 12 (21), the second match is scheduled for six days later (21) against Switzerland, and the third on June 24 against Qatar (21).
The World Championship is scheduled from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
