For the title even with a broken finger - Sutjeska's goalkeeper defended despite the injury

Sutjeska is three games away from its sixth title, and its first since 2022 - if the team from Nikšić can hold on and maintain the first position they have held for the longest time this season, one of the great heroes will be Stojan Vukčević.

The "blue and whites" goalkeeper broke his toe during an intervention in the 81st minute of the game against Arsenal, but he never even considered leaving the team that was struggling a lot in Tivat.

He defended until the end, his teammates failed to celebrate (1:1), but neither did second-placed Mornar a day later, so Milorad Peković's team remained on top.

And Vukčević? After the game, he had a cast on his leg, but he's probably calm now that he knows he saved his team's point until the end. Who knows, maybe it'll be crucial in the championship race.

"Despite the injury, our goalie gritted his teeth and finished the game. Cole, get well soon," Sutjeska wrote on social media.

At the time of the injury, Peković had the right to make more substitutions, but apparently Vukčević's desire to continue playing was too great.

Sutjeska will face home games against Dečić and Jedinstvo, as well as away games against Mladost, until the end of the season. Second-placed Mornar, who are two points behind, will be away against Budućnost and Jezera, and home to Petrovac.
