The first step towards escaping from the bottom of the table has been successfully taken by the first champion of Montenegro - Zeta won the central region and is now separated from the Second League by a playoff.
The team from "Trešnjica" in the decisive match and direct duel between the two best teams of the Association of Clubs Center defeated the Balkan Eagles in Tuzi - 2:0, exactly what was needed to overtake them in the standings.
The hero of Zećan was Ivan Šoć, who scored both goals, so the "wolves" will fight against the winners of the other two regions - Brskovo and Budva - to escape from the third (and last) tier of Montenegrin football.
The Mojkovci team won the North convincingly with 11 points more than the second-placed Ibar, while it was similar with Budva, which was plus nine compared to Balkan.
With Dejan Vukićević on the bench, Zeta became the first champion of Montenegro in 2007, only to leave the strongest tier of our football for the first time in 2022. Instead of a quick return, an even greater decline and a move to the region followed.
