Montenegrin talent in full glory - our country's junior cadet football team will play in the final of the "Miljan Miljanić" international tournament in Stara Pazova.
And she reached it and the cup match with Serbia through a penalty shootout against North Macedonia and with a spectacular goal, one of those that is remembered even though it may not have been scored on the biggest stage.
The Eurogoal was scored by Nikola Vukoje - the younger brother of Inter player Andrija - when he shook the rival's net with an attractive scissor kick.
It was a 1:0 goal in a match in which the young Falcons were leading 2:1 after a goal by Luka Vušurović, but the North Macedonians made it 2:2 with three minutes left.
Vukoje shone with spectacular saves, and goalkeeper Simon Sošić once again showed what a talent he is in the penalty shootout - he saved two penalties and took Montenegro to the final.
"I am pleased that we have continued our positive winning streak with this generation. Against a quality team, we controlled the game for the most part, with periods when our concentration waned and when we made mistakes that brought the opponent back into the game. We led twice and had to save the game with penalties, but that happens in football. Congratulations to the boys on the victory and advancing to the tournament finals," said coach Radovan Kavaja.
The final against hosts Serbia is scheduled for Thursday at 16 p.m.
