He arrived in January with the aim of stabilizing the team, and he leaves Buducnost with three rounds left before the end of the season - the "blues" coach Miodrag Grof Božović, after talking to the fans, took responsibility for the poor results, accepted the blame and resigned.
He is not the only one to blame for the current situation, in fact, in the hierarchy of "culprits" he is probably lower on the list - after all, four coaches before him led the team this season. None of them succeeded...
If he has any "fat" guilt, it is only in the fact that he took over Buducnost like this, with the people who are at its helm. Misjudgment...
It was also interesting how Božović, former coach of Moscow giants Dinamo and Lokomotiva, winner of the Russian Cup with Rostov, champion of Serbia with Red Star, parted ways with his parent club for the second time in his coaching career.
The most ardent fans of Buducnost stormed the club's training camp today, as "Vijesti" has learned, with the intention of meeting with the club's outgoing president, Boris Spalević.
Spalević, who resigned yesterday, stopped by the club - to sign his resignation, to take things from the office - which was heard by the Buducnost fans and they rushed to the training camp.
How and why, instead of Spalević, who managed to avoid this, probably the last, encounter, they ran into Božović, or did Spalević skillfully "set up" the fans for the now former coach.
In a conversation with the fans - and after the president had already left - Božović was left as the next one to take responsibility: and he signed his resignation.
Grof leaves after a draw in Bijelo Polje, at a time when Buducnost is tied for fifth place with three points more than Jezera, which is in the play-off zone.
The "Blues" are without a win or a goal in their last five matches in the domestic championship.
Miodrag Božović was appointed coach of Buducnost in January, although he was also linked with the bench of last season's champion last summer.
With him came sports director Nenad Maslovar, and then as many as 11 reinforcements.
Božović succeeded Dejan Vukićević on the bench at a time when Budućnost was in seventh place, 11 points behind leaders Sutjeska.
He is the fifth coach to sit on the bench of Buducnost this season. In June last year, Ivan Brnović parted ways with the club during preparations in Slovenia, and the club announced at the time that the main reasons were the deterioration of interpersonal relations within the club, the coaching staff and the relationship with the fans.
Brnović was succeeded by Nenad Lalatović, with whom Buducnost was eliminated in the Champions League qualifiers by Armenian Noa, and in the Conference League qualifiers by Moldovan Milsami.
Lalatović stayed for 53 days, but he did not leave after the European elimination, but after the defeat in Tivat, in August against Arsenal, and was replaced by Ivan Delić.
Delić left the club in mid-September, followed by the arrival of Dejan Vukićević, who removed several first-team players from the team during the season.
Vukićević then announced that he was not counting on captain Petar Grbić, Igor Ivanović, Adnan Orahovac, Luka Mirković, Vladan Adžić, as well as foreigners Lionel Strumija, Dragan Trninić, Sadok Kadida and Nedeljko Piščević.
However, Vukićević did not live to see the second part of the season, Božović arrived.
The goal of the managers was to enter the European scene, but Buducnost - apart from being far from Europe in terms of results - did not even receive a license (it has the right to appeal), and as of today it is without a coach.
