Brazil national football team coach Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation until the 2030 World Cup.
The 66-year-old Italian expert, who took over the national team in May 2025, confirmed the continuation of the cooperation in a video message released by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
"I came to Brazil a year ago. From the first minute I understood what football means to this country. We have been working for a year to return the Brazilian national team to the top of world football. But the CBF and I want more," Ancelotti said.
"More wins, more time, more work. We are very happy to announce that we are continuing together for the next four years. Together we will go until the 2030 World Cup," added the Italian coach.
The announcement of the extension of cooperation came just before the release of the Brazil national team roster for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which Ancelotti will announce on Monday.
The former Real Madrid and Milan coach had mixed results on the Brazil bench, with numerous problems with player injuries and public doubts about the team's ability to seriously participate in the fight for the world championship title.
Under his leadership, Brazil achieved five wins, three losses and two draws in 10 matches.
Ancelotti succeeded Dorival last year after the national team's poor results and was tasked with completing the South American qualifiers for the World Cup.
