Srđan Radonjić will lead the Buducnost players until the end of the season, although yesterday it seemed that Duško Globarević, who also led the first team's training session - the first training session after Miodrag Božović's departure, would take over the role of coaching "savior".
In a statement to "Vijesti", Globarević explained what preceded that decision, citing "various information and speculation".
"At the invitation of the sports director (Nenad Maslovar, ed. aut.) I accepted to do the training and to referee the match against Mornar in order to help, because I have always been and will be in the service of Budućnost and I have always worked and will work for the benefit of the club. And I would do it again, especially in the situation we are in, which was two days before an important match," said Globarević.
The change occurred at a meeting of the Board of Directors.
"After the proposal from Mayor Saša Mujović and Varvara, and especially Varvara - not all of them, was for my colleague Srđan Radonjić to take over the team, of course I was happy to accept that he would be the solution. After all, I immediately called Radonjić to be with me when I was asked to help, because realistically we cannot compare ourselves as coaches," said Globarević.
Globarević, the successful coach of the Buducnost women's football team, emphasized that he had never even considered being a permanent solution on the bench of the Buducnost players.
"Because, I have my peace of mind, as a club we are doing a good job with women's football, we won the second consecutive title, I am under contract for another year, I am committed to it, so I did not even think about being a permanent solution. I was there to step in as a helper, I hope that I helped to maintain the training process and I want the team to start a winning streak, because we all need that. And we are all rooting for it. That is why I hope that the audience will recognize the moment and fill the stadium under Gorica in as many numbers as possible on Saturday against Mornar", concluded Globarević, who worked in men's football for many years before dedicating himself to working with girls.
As the first coach in the first league competition, he led the first teams of Kom and Mladost, with whom he won his first place on the European stage in 2013. He was also the head of the coaching staff of Jezera in the second league, an assistant at Rudar, and the head of the Mladost youth school.
