Brazil national football team coach Carlo Ancelotti announced a 26-player squad for the upcoming World Cup, with Neymar's return to the national team garnering the most attention.
The experienced Santos striker has not played for Brazil since 2023 due to injury problems, but he has still gained Ancelotti's trust and will therefore appear in his fourth World Cup, after the 2014, 2018 and 2022 tournaments.
Neymar is the top scorer in Brazil's history with 79 goals in 128 appearances for the national team, and his name was greeted with a standing ovation from fans during the list announcement ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.
Five-time world champions, Brazil will play in Group C against Morocco on June 13, Haiti on June 20 and Scotland four days later.
The World Cup, which will have 48 national teams for the first time, begins on June 11th.

Midfield: Casemiro (Manchester United), Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle), Danilo (Botafogo), Fabinho (Al Ittihad) and Paqueta (Flamengo)
