Manchester City is preparing for Pep Guardiola's departure, and Fabricio Romano writes that the new manager of the "citizens" has been announced.
Guardiola will be succeeded by Enzo Maresca, who has reached a verbal agreement with City leaders.
The Italian, writes Romano, was considered the ideal candidate to succeed Guardiola from the beginning, and will sign a three-year contract with City.
"A new era is about to begin," Romano announced.
Mareska was part of Guardiola's coaching staff on two occasions - from August 2020 to May 2021 and from June 2022 to June 2023.
He has managed Parma and Leicester on his own, with whom he won the Championship and led them to the Premier League, and Chelsea, with whom he won the Club World Cup and the Conference League last summer.
