Otrant secured its return to the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League in the most beautiful way - with a convincing victory in the derby of the second league caravan season.
In the duel between Milija Savović and Ivan Brnović - former coaches of our two biggest clubs, Sutjeska and Budućnost - the team from Ulcinj defeated second-placed Grbalj 4:2 and resolved all dilemmas about who would advance directly to the higher ranks before the end of the round.
The match near Velika Plaza started off with a bang, with three goals scored by the sixth minute, two of which were in the home team's net. Grbalj led 2:1 through goals from Strahinja Đuričić and Siniša Stanisavić - Augusto Koreja scored the goal for Otranto.
However, it was quickly clear which team played the best football in the Second League this season - Aleksandar Vujačić in the 15th minute, Andrija Krivokapić's own goal in the 61st minute and Valentin Rudović in the 69th minute put an end to this match. The celebrations in Ulcinj could begin.
Otrant is a new first league team, and Grbalj and Iskra have one more chance - a play-off against the eighth- and ninth-placed teams behind the First League.
Internacional was relegated from the league, Igalo will advance to the play-offs, and Rudar, Lovćen and Podgorica will try to avoid the playoffs with teams from the third leagues in the final round.
