If the "blue and white" defeat Petrovac away tomorrow (Sunday) at 20 pm, they could salvage what is probably the most difficult season in the club's history. A triumph would mean a guaranteed exit to Europe, but the "sky blue" from the Montenegrin coast also want the same.
"That match is the final for us - we are facing the toughest match of the year. We are completely focused on it, we have to bring all the strength of the team and the club into the match against Petrovac and record a victory," said Srđan Radonjić.
The former Buducnost striker is the sixth name to lead the Podgorica club this season - a man who has been in the blue and white colors since he was a child, and who has recently been with the club as the director of the youth school.
He sat on the bench of the team from the capital for three rounds to go - a draw and a win in the first two matches gave him the opportunity to secure qualification for the Conference League under Mali Brdo.
"We would go for victory no matter what the situation. This is a final in which we must triumph. It is clear that it is most difficult when we have to, but we will do our best. We do not want to promise anything except that we will give our last atom of strength so that we can rejoice in the end and go to Europe," emphasized Radonjić.
A point is enough for Petrovac to qualify for the UEFA competition.
"We are facing a disciplined team that has not achieved the results it expected in recent games and therefore found itself in a situation similar to ours. It will be a tough game, with an atypical and slightly smaller pitch, but the players know each other and there won't be many secrets. Whoever has more desire and concentration will win," believes Radonjić.
The future also expects great support at the "Mitar - Mićo Goliš" stadium.
"There's a lot of talk about the game, there's been a lot of euphoria and that should make the players on both teams happy. Of course, that should encourage us and I have no doubt that the 'barbarians' will be our 12th player," concluded the Buducnost strategist.
The last round also brings matches between the new champion Sutjeska and Jedinstvo, then Arsenal - Mladost, Bokelj - Dečić and Jezero - Mornar.
All matches start at 20 pm, and after them we will know whether Jedinstvo or Bokelj will leave the Meridianbet 1. CFL and who will advance to the play-offs - Mlaadost or Jezero.
