Our team will welcome Wales on June 5th at the City Stadium in Podgorica, while four days later they will play Albania in Shkodra.
- Ahead of this gathering, I'm actually most worried about the June "window". Almost all of our players finished their club commitments in mid-May, so they are not in a competitive rhythm. We don't know what level of physical fitness they are at and we will see during the training process how it will all go. Wales is certainly the favorite, and their players have only recently finished the English championship, in which most of them play. Our goal is to play better and smarter than in Wales, to not allow us to make so many mistakes - said coach Marić.
The duel with Albania at the end of the qualifiers will be a fight for third place in the group, which brings a play-off for survival in League B.
- The new challenge is definitely the away game against Albania, four days after the duel with Wales. We will have to balance the minutes well, so that the players can arrive at that game as fresh as possible - added Marić.
