Before the only official election for the most successful coach, which was only organized in December by the Football Association of Montenegro, Mornar's first coach Vesko Stešević also received an unofficial recognition for everything he did with the Bar club last season.
The CG football website, which covers events on the domestic scene from the "most important sideline", chose him as the best coach of the season.
Because of everything he did with Mornar this past season - the Cup trophy, the first in the club's history, second place in the standings and a place in the Conference League qualifiers - it is certain that Stešević will not miss the official trophy at the end of the year, in which the jury consists of captains and fellow coaches of first-league clubs.
Mornar's result, especially second place in the standings, becomes even more significant if we know that Stešević took over Mornar only after six rounds, when Barani was not doing very well in the standings.
The series of 11 victories in the championship and the Cup in the second half of the season was impressive, with which Barani equaled the record of Buducnost.
Stešević extended his contract with Mornar after a historic season.
