Florentino Perez faces the Real Madrid presidential election on June 7th, with many believing he is the absolute favorite to win a new term.
However, Perez knows what a campaign is, so ahead of the elections - in which his opponent is young businessman Enrique Riquelme - he announced the arrival of a major reinforcement.
"I will send an offer to a player from the Champions League, he is a real "galactico" and he is a midfielder. He is not from the Premier League, he is not old but young," said Perez.
He didn't say the name of the player or the club he would come from, but the media close to Real somehow found out.
Perez reportedly wants Joao Neves from Paris Saint-Germain and is willing to pay 150 million euros for him. Although the big question is whether the Parisians are ready to give him up.
Real Madrid have agreed to transfer Denzel Dumfries from Inter, Ibrahima Konate is also arriving from Liverpool, and the coaching position has been reserved for Jose Mourinho.
