Danish international Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch midway through the second half of a friendly match between Denmark and Ukraine tonight.
When Eriksen fell to the grass, the broadcast director switched the shot to the other side. He did not show the moment when Eriksen was given medical attention.
The drama lasted 15 minutes and had a happy ending, as Eriksen stood up and received applause from the audience in Odense.
In the end, the main referee of the match stopped the game, and before the break, Denmark was leading 2:1.
"Christian Eriksen is conscious and feels well under the circumstances," the Danish Football Association said on social media X.
Eriksen also collapsed on the pitch five years ago at the European Championship, during a match against Finland. He was diagnosed with a heart anomaly at that time, so he was cleared to play football at a professional level and returned to the pitch in 2022.
