Arbeloa became Real Madrid's head coach in January of this year after the dismissal of Xabi Alonso, and since then, in a total of 28 matches in which he led the team, he has recorded 18 wins, two draws and eight losses.

It was known that he was leaving, it was known that Florentino Perez had agreed everything with José Mourinho, but he was expected to win the election race against the 37-year-old businessman, the young challenger Enrique Riquelme.

Mourinho, who already managed Real from 2011 to 2014, is expected to be officially introduced in the coming days.
