The missed shot cost a lot - instead of a sure victory, Mornar lost in Andorra

It could have been a victory by at least one or two goals, but instead, Mornar's players suffered a shock in Andorra.

They lost to Athletic Escaldes in the first round of the Conference League qualifiers (2:1), and a goal in the 93rd minute decided the game.

Barani led for almost 80 minutes, and had serious opportunities to take a 2-0 lead, the biggest of which came about ten minutes before the end...

Then Vukas Dragović shot over the bar from just a few meters, and the first of two penalties came immediately - in the 83rd minute when Morales deceived goalkeeper Stefan Popović from a free kick from more than 25 meters.

Even that result didn't seem satisfactory after everything that Vesko Stešević's team had seen, and what can we say after what happened in the 93rd minute. Morales was the scorer again, with a great shot into the far corner to set the final score.

Mornar could have scored a second goal in the first half through Stefan Denković, later on they knew how to torment the home team's defense from counterattacks, but the job remained unfinished - a second goal was needed, and instead of 0:2, Atletik reached 1:1.

In that 83rd minute, Mornar could certainly have avoided a stoppage and a free kick, and when that didn't happen - Popović had to take the ball out of the net.

It was just a prelude to a big disappointment at the very end, so Mornar now has to chase their opponent in the rematch.

The winner of this doubleheader will face Vaduz from Liechtenstein...
