Montenegrin football clubs did not shine in the first matches of the first round of qualifications for the Conference League.
All of them suffered defeats - Mornar, Dečić and Petrovac. The "Blues" lost to Žalgiris Vilnius at the stadium under Gorica (3:1).
Zdravko Dragićević, the coach of the club from the Montenegrin coast, was, quite predictably, not satisfied.
"We can't say that we were the better rival when we were defeated 3:1. In the draw, we had the initiative, created chances, hit the crossbar, and then conceded a goal. I'm even more sorry about that third goal we conceded, where we could have reacted much better," Petrovac's head coach told RTV Budva.
Regardless of the defeat and negative result, the 40-year-old expert does not lose hope.
"They have already played the 21st round of the domestic championship, and we have only just finished preparations, and that is a huge difference. In addition, we had several forced substitutions, and we were not able to fully implement the original tactical ideas we had on the field. Hope still exists. We have seven days ahead to prepare as best as possible for the rematch," concluded Dragićević.
The return match will be played on July 16th at 19 p.m.
