Unless something unforeseen happens in the coming days, it will be Arne Slot, who is returning to coaching after leaving Liverpool at the end of the club's season.

Slott is reportedly keen to take over at the club, and in a big move for him and the FA, Liverpool have agreed to cover half of the experienced manager's salary for the next 12 months. Slott was under contract with the Reds until the 2026/27 season before he was sacked, and was set to earn £7m for that period.

After Slott arranges all the financial details with his new employer, Liverpool will step in and "fill" the gap, which is an acceptable option for all three parties.

And when it comes to the football story alone - the public expects Slot to be everything that Koeman was not. The former national team midfielder, European champion with Barcelona, ​​has often been criticized for the defensive style he cultivated with the Netherlands, and this was especially evident in that last match at the World Cup against Morocco.

Then the Netherlands played with five players in the back line, which midfielder Frenkie de Jong, among others, did not like, so after the match he publicly raised his voice against Koeman's system.
