An encouraging start, a nice goal, an express comeback when the total score was in question and after that - nothing. Dečić's players failed to qualify for the second round of qualifications. Tonight at the Besa Arena, Lijepaja was better in the second leg of the first round, 2:1. We remind you that the Latvian club celebrated in the first match with 1:0.
The Montenegrin representative entered tonight's match well. An attack through Lazar Maraš when Siniša Stanisavić failed to reach a cross into the box, and then a shot by Uroš Đuranović were a harbinger of what was to come in the 12th minute.
Stanisavic excellently placed the ball about 20 meters from where Davor Kontić fired from the first, on the ground, and hit the corner of the Latvian team's goal - goalkeeper Davis Os just looked away.
After that, the rhythm dropped, and Tuzan "turned off". Uroš Đuranović threatened with an excellent shot from about 20 meters, but Os managed to save it.
It seemed that Dečić, despite the evident decline in the game, would go into the 15-minute break with an advantage (and a tie in the overall score), but Ivan Brnović's team lost concentration. Bart Stralman crossed from the right side to the edge of the box, missed the ball to Ede Oloko, the scorer of the only goal in the first match, but Kivon Lidsman followed everything up and "packed" the ball into the goal routinely.
Once again, Dečić defended poorly in the 61st minute. Oloko entered the penalty area from the right side, tried to throw into the box, Leon Ujkaj made a precarious save six or seven meters from Dečić's goal. Felipe Vieira was completely alone there and easily beat Danilo Radošević to completely turn the visitors around.
Tuzana had a chance in the 81st minute to at least avoid defeat tonight - Đuranović shot from the near corner, but Os was ready.
