Dušan Vlahović has not been a Juventus player since the end of June, after his contract expired.
The situation is extremely unusual, as there is still a chance that the Serbian striker will end up staying in Turin.
Juve and Vlahović negotiated a new contract at the end of the season and did not reach an agreement because the "old lady" was not ready to meet the financial conditions requested by the other side.
Negotiations with Vlahović's agents were led by executive director Damien Comolli, but he left the club in the meantime - thus new hope emerged.
Now coach Luciano Spaleti spoke about the Vlahović case.
"In this whole story I did what was up to me, but there are certain financial issues that do not concern me," Spalletti said.
Journalists were then interested in whether Vlahović was close to signing a new contract.
"What I can tell you is that the door is open, but you have to ring the bell," Spalletti said vividly.
