This is a summer of record transfers in English football.
A new dizzying figure was "launched" by Chelsea, who agreed to transfer Morgan Rodgers from Aston Villa, British media report.
Rodgers will arrive in London for a medical on Monday, after returning from the World Cup, and the "blues" will pay the Birmingham club as much as 117 million pounds - 137 million euros.
It is Chelsea's biggest transfer in history (the record was previously held by Enzo Fernandes), but also the biggest ever for an English player, after Manchester City recently paid £116 million for Elliot Anderson.
Rodgers is an attacking midfielder, a player who became one of the best in his position in the Premier League last season while playing for the "Lions", and there is no doubt that Chelsea has gained a great boost in him.
He came solely at the request of new manager Xabi Alonso, so Chelsea beat off stiff competition as it was speculated that both City and Arsenal wanted the England international.
