Football Montenegro: "For years we have been pointing out the catastrophic state of our football, we have received the strongest slap"

After the failure of Montenegrin football clubs in qualifying for European competitions, the NGO Football Montenegro has spoken out.

Between the lines, they once again directed criticism at the Football Association of Montenegro and its president Dejan Savićević.

"We can say that we have been pointing out the catastrophic state of Montenegrin football for years. Many of our colleagues have given up on the fight for better football. They probably no longer have the strength to "fight windmills". But we have and we will not stop or give up.

Our disastrous club results are shyly mentioned. A day, two and the end. This season we received the strongest slap. Does it matter in Montenegrin football who will be the champion, who will qualify for the UEFA competition? Clubs, management, sponsors, players have been changing over the past 20 years.

There is only one constant in our football. The one who does not allow us to take a step forward. The one who does not influence change and the way of competition. The one who is asked for everything. The one who has no vision or development plan. The one who "holds everything in his hand". The one who is illegal according to the rulings of the Administrative and High Court of Montenegro. The one whose illegal work is not seen by the Ministry of Sports and the state of Montenegro. The one... In twenty years, and even more of his rule, if we had started from scratch, today we would have at least something, and we have nothing.

"And yes, while the MOC is dealing with the expulsion of the Table Tennis Federation of Montenegro from its association, due to the same matter, with the ruling of the Administrative and even the Supreme Court, it is not doing the same with the FSCG," the statement reads.
