The UEFA competition qualifiers are slowly coming to an end, and if they want to continue their battle for the European autumn, the clubs of our Marko Janković and Viktor Đukanović will have to do much better in the second leg.
In the 3rd round of the Conference League qualifiers, Qarabag lost in Lublin, Poland, to Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv (1:0), while Győr was defeated by the same team in Riga with an identical result.
Janković played 79 minutes for reigning champions Azerbaijan, while Đukanović played all 90 minutes for the Hungarian champions.
The Montenegrins from Partizan fared much better than them, as Saša Ilić's men played their best match since the start of the season and sent off the Kazakh Tobol from Belgrade with a 3:0 score.
Milan Vukotić and his namesake Roganović were the starters, and they played an excellent match, while Stefan Milić and Aleks Zeković came on in the latter part of the second half.
The triumph of the "black and whites" was signed by Demba Sek (32nd minute), Ibrahim Zubaiuru (65) and Shaka Traore (96). If there are no mistakes in the second leg, Partizan will play against Getafe from Madrid in the playoffs.
Although nothing is ever certain with Hajduk, it seems the Split club has finished the job in the third round of qualifiers. "They" defeated Zalgiris away (5:2) with goals from Mikel Šeg (two), Adrijon Pajaziti, Dalison de Almeida and Rokas Pukštas.
From the region, Rijeka (Ilves 1:0), Borac Banja Luka (Vitebsk 1:0) and Drita (Tre Fiori 4:1) also achieved victories.
