Salah sets up a great chance for Savić on his debut and misses one, only a point for Trabzon at the start of the Super League

The moment that Turkey has been waiting for has happened in Beyoglu, the European part of Istanbul - the great Mohamed Salah, one of the best football players of this century, made his debut for Trabzonspor.

The club from the Black Sea, led by our Stefan Savić with the captain's armband, played away to Kasimpasa in the first round of the Super League, but even with the famous Egyptian, they failed to achieve victory.

At the stadium named after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, it was 1:1.

Trabzon took the lead at the end of the first half after a goal by Noa Saviola, while the home team equalized in the 55th minute from a penalty scored by Adrian Benedicak.

Just three minutes later, Salah entered the game, and very quickly created what could have been the chance of the game for Savić. The Liverpool legend found our defender perfectly from a free kick, but the Trabzon captain's shot was saved from several meters by Andreas Janiotis.

Towards the end of the match, Salah also had a great chance - he caught a volley brilliantly at the far post, scored, but his shot flew wide of the goal.

The next challenge for Salah, Savić and Trabzon comes in five days when they will face Ferencvaros in the first match of the Europa League play-offs.
