After another scandal, Sutjeska has spoken out: The Municipality of Nikšić will change the club's management structure in the coming days

After another embarrassment and tonight's defeat to Otrant-Olimpik at home (4:1) in the third round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League, Sutjeska made a statement on social media.

As pointed out by Sutjeska, the Municipality of Nikšić, as the founder and sole owner of the club, will change the club's entire management structure in the coming days - a new Assembly will be elected, and then the Board of Directors.

Sutjeska was left without a president on Monday when Miomir Ljaka Bakrač resigned. With the president's departure, the current Board of Directors no longer exists, and the new Assembly has not been convened for some time, as the last session of the old one was held on June 7. The president of the club's Assembly was Ivan Milićević.

Only when the new management structures are elected, should a new coach be chosen, who will have a very difficult task to get Sutjeska back on track and improve the atmosphere in the locker room, which, as is known, has not been at its best recently. The team was temporarily led by Boris Milickovic tonight, after Milorad Pekovic left on Tuesday.

"The Municipality of Nikšić, as the founder and sole owner of FK Sutjeska, will change the club's entire management structure in the coming days. We will elect a new Assembly, which will elect a new Board of Directors. The owner's request will be to promote players from younger categories to the greatest extent possible in the future. The club's new policy must be directed towards creating and promoting young players, primarily from Nikšić and Montenegro," Sutjeska announced.

In a post accompanying the announcement on the social network Facebook, Sutjeska decided to turn off comments, which was the practice in the past when everything was not ideal at the club. Unlike Facebook, comments are allowed on Instagram.

Sutjeska opened the season with seven losses. After a debacle in Europe and elimination by Kairat in the Champions League qualifiers, the team from Nikšić was eliminated by Belarusian ML Vitebsk in the Conference League qualifiers.

Then came a historic embarrassment in the domestic championship, in which Sutjeska opened the season with three losses for the first time since the 2009/2010 season, and is in last place in the standings. Before Otranto, the team lost to Buducnost (1:0) and Bokelj SBBet (1:0).

What the fans think about everything was clear tonight when they chanted "management out" and "Miro is leaving", referring to Miro Vračar, the club's vice president and member of the Board of Directors. And in addition to Vračar, according to the information on the club's website, the members of the now former Board of Directors are: Brajan Nenezić, Saša Miličić, Aleksandar Popović, Predrag Pejović and Vladan Giljen.

After the third goal conceded, the fans of Sutjeska, "Vojvoda" threw several flares onto the field, and then left the east stand.

Sutjeska is going through tough times, the players have disgraced themselves and they are also very responsible for the humiliating performances of the Montenegrin champion.
