Kane confirms talks with Bayern

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has said that negotiations with the club's management over a new contract will begin in the next two weeks.

The England captain said it was "important" that negotiations begin now as he entered the final year of his contract, Sky reported, adding that "both parties are relaxed".

The Bundesliga champion wants to complete the deal quickly due to interest from other clubs, and the board has agreed to postpone talks until after the World Cup.

Kane will gain the right to negotiate with foreign clubs in January 2026, if he does not extend his contract by then.

Kane scored 61 goals in 51 games in all competitions for Bayern last season.
