Four seasons in the Buducnost jersey were enough for him, at the age of 20, to be one of those with whom Titograd easily fell in love because of his football skills.
Lazar Radović will always be a legend of the "blue and whites", and Budućnost and Montenegro must not forget him - the former midfielder of the Podgorica club has passed away at the age of 89.
- We say goodbye to the gentleman in the football boots. Four seasons in the "blue" were crucial in Lazar Radović's football life - two in the second league (1953-1955) and two in the first league (1955-1957). At the age of 20, he was the most sought-after player in Buducnost, he was shaping up to be the best in the league, and the management of the "blue" even "went to war" with Partizan when he transferred - Buducnost announced.
He played 71 games for Buducnost and scored 29 goals.
- It was precisely the games in the blue and white jersey that were his ticket into the big world - they added from Buducnost.
It was clear that he would be a legend of Buducnost, and he became one in Partizan - he wore the black and white jersey for seven years, was part of the famous "Partizan babies", made over 100 competitive appearances and was the champion of Yugoslavia four times.
From Partizan, his football career took him through AO Trikala, Xerxes, and all the way to the great PSV Eindhoven, for whom he played over 120 games.
He was also a member of the Yugoslav national team, for which he made seven appearances, and he also participated in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
