Pioneer team defeated by Albania, Savić: Poor performance against a quality opponent

The pioneering Montenegrin national football team was defeated last night in Tuzi, in the first of two friendly matches, by Albania in Tuzi, 3:0.

The guests scored all three goals at Besa Arena in the first half.

Brian Hikolari announced the triumph of his team in the 17th and 26th minutes, and Rei Muca set the final score in the 38th minute.

Coach Vladan Savić said that the Montenegrin football players entered the match poorly, timidly and insecurely.

"Our poor performance against a very high-quality opponent. Technically we were below par, and therefore tactically we couldn't match. We conceded all three goals by halftime due to big mistakes. We made a lot of substitutions afterwards, which was a bit better, but not enough for anything more concrete," said coach Savić.

A new duel between the pioneering teams of Albania and Montenegro is scheduled for Thursday in Shkodra.
