Miodrag Grof Božović is the new coach of Vardar Skopje.
Božović succeeded Matija Mirkov on the bench of the team from North Macedonia, who led the team as an acting coach after the departure of Argentine Cristian Fabiani.
Argentine Cristian Fabiani joined Vardar at the start of the season, but he didn't stay long. With him on the bench, the Macedonian team failed to qualify for the group stage of any UEFA competition, and is eight points behind Shkendija in the championship after five rounds.
He will be assisted in his work by Dejan-Keco Mrvaljević and Gogo Jovčev.
Božović led Buducnost in the second half of last season, for the second time in his coaching career, and resigned three rounds before the end.
In addition to Buducnost, he was the coach of Borac Cacak, Obilic, Hajduk Lyon, Paphos, Grbalj, Red Star Belgrade, Neftchi and the Iranian Esteghal.
He worked in Russia for many years, managing Amkar, Moscow, Dynamo, Rostov, Lokomotiv, Arsenal and Krylya Sovetov.
