Liverpool made the signing of 18-year-old French international Julian N'Gesan official on Friday, even though the transfer window in England ended on September 1st.
English media report that Liverpool paid around five million euros for the young striker. However, N'Gesan will not be able to play for his new club until the end of the year, as he was not registered during the transfer window.
N'Gesan arrived from Saint-Etienne, and it has been agreed that he will play on loan at Brest until the end of the season. Liverpool will then decide on his future.
The young Frenchman played 13 games and scored one goal for the Saint-Etienne first team, after making his debut in January last year.
N'Gesan also appeared at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he played seven matches as France finished fourth. At the last UEFA European Under-17 Championship, he was selected in the Team of the Tournament.
