Throughout history, Hitachi (1979-1982), Crown Paints (1982-88), Candy (1988-92), Carlsberg (1992-2010), Standard Chartered (2010-27), and from next season, Turkish Airlines.
Liverpool Football Club will change their sponsor on the front of their jersey for only the sixth time, and that will be Turkish Airlines.
As reported by the BBC, Turkish Airlines will adorn the jersey of the English giants from the start of the 2027/28 season, in a deal worth 300 million pounds (around 350 million euros).
The five-year deal is worth more than £60 million (€70 million) per season, an increase on the current £50 million per season deal with Standard Chartered. The British multinational bank has been the club's title partner since 2010 and is the current front-of-shirt sponsor.
Liverpool believe the deal with Turkish Airlines is the largest commercial deal in Premier League history solely for front-of-shirt sponsorship. Arsenal and Manchester City's deals with Emirates and Etihad respectively also include stadium naming rights.
Liverpool announced record revenues of more than £700m for the latest financial year in February and were the highest-ranked Premier League club in Deloitte's list of the richest football clubs.
Turkish Airlines will be only the third different sponsor on the front of Liverpool's shirt in the last 35 years, after Carlsberg and Standard Chartered, who will remain in that position this season, before becoming a global partner from the 2027/28 season.
Turkish Airlines is the sixth main sponsor on the front of the shirt in the club's history.
Negotiations with Turkish Airlines began before the 1892 Holdings consortium, led by Liverpool vice-chairman Amit Bhatia, bought a stake of around 38 percent in the club last month.
Commercial director Ben Latty said the front of the shirt holds a special place in Liverpool's history.
"The partnership will build on the solid foundations of the Reds' Champions League victory in Istanbul in 2005," Lati added.
Ahmet Olmustur, CEO of Turkish Airlines, says that this partnership has brought together two global brands.
"Who share an international reach, a commitment to excellence and the ability to inspire millions of people around the world," Olmustur emphasized.
