Luciano Spalletti and everyone at Juventus saw the magic of Vasilije Adžić last night - at the end of the match, in the last attack, the Montenegrin footballer found his way to the "Old Lady"'s net, knocking out the team from Turin and scoring a goal for Sassuolo's victory (3:2) in the fourth round of Serie A.
It was Adžić's second league goal this season, with one assist, and he also scored against Cesena in the Cup. The start to the season is ideal, and the winning goal against Juve, the team that loaned him to Sassuolo, came exactly a year after the Turin "black and whites" scored the winning goal against Inter last season (4:3) - September 13th holds a special place in Adžić's career.
"There are dates that are more than just a number on the calendar. For Vasilije Adžić, September 13th is different, it is a date written by fate. First with Juventus, then with Sassuolo - the colors on the jersey change, but the outcome remains the same. When September 13th comes, the name of Vasilije Adžić comes into the spotlight," writes Turin's "Tutto Sport".
"Tutto Sport" recalls the match with Inter, which was played on September 13th last year.
"A year ago, Adžić attracted attention in the best possible way - in the derby against Inter, he scored the decisive goal, bringing the 'Bianconeri' a memorable victory. It was a special match against a historic rival in the league. Now, 12 months later, the situation has changed, but history has repeated itself. At the 'Mapei' stadium, it was once again the Montenegrin who made the decisive move, this time bringing victory to Sassuolo. It was a goal of great importance, scored in a different jersey, not the Juventus one. That is precisely why the celebration was more measured and full of respect for the club whose player Adžić is still. Fate once again chose September 13 to bring Adžić back into the spotlight," points out "Tutto sport".
The headline in "Gazetta" was - Juve, a complete disaster. They tied twice, then lost to Sassuolo. Their player Adžić cost them in the 94th minute.
"In the last minute, the 'Bianconeri' allowed the opponent to counterattack, and Adžić scored a goal. Last season, Juventus suffered their first defeat in the seventh round, and then they tied three failures, which led to the departure of the then coach, Igor Tudor. Today, there is still no room for crisis, but Spalletti and his players must no longer make mistakes," writes "Gazzetta".
Adžić a hero in the final moments: Aquilani's Sassuolo defeated Juve, writes "Corriere dello sport."
"Far from Juventus returning to winning ways after a draw at home against Milan in the previous round. Juve lost 3-2 to Sassuolo away and in the worst possible way - at the last second, after a careless reaction from the defense and a goal by Vasilije Adžić, a player who was loaned by Juventus to Aquilani's team," states "Corriere dello sport."
