Marko Vešović was one of the most notable in the match with Poland and the defeat at Gorica was hard for him.
"I'm disappointed with the way we lost the game. The Poles practically had no chances until the goal, and we entered the second half well and created chances, but we didn't use any chances. In the end, we conceded a goal again out of nowhere. We didn't let anyone down, the audience can be satisfied with everything but the result," said the Rijeka midfielder, who announced the battle for the playoffs.
"A point would mean a lot to us, but we are looking to the future. Nothing is over, there are five more games. The group is interesting, quite open, and we can fight for 2nd place on an equal footing with everyone."
Stefan Savić was the captain of the Falcons.
"We all knew that Poland were the favourites, because we were weakened, but we lacked a bit of luck. It's football, we have to raise our heads and forget the defeat, because we have a very important match with Armenia waiting for us, in which we have to score three points. In the second half, we played braver, pressed in their half, which resulted in a goal. We had the initiative and after that, a chance to take the lead, but their individual quality made the decision," said the Atletico Madrid stopper.
Stefan Mugoša scored the first goal for the "brave falcons" in the 63rd minute, but he was unlucky to score at least a draw.
"I'm happy about the goal, but I regret the point, which would mean a lot to us. We entered the second half very well, showed character, came back and had chances, but when you don't take advantage of them against this kind of team, the punishment comes".
