From the special reporter "Vijesti"
Herning - Montenegro coach Dragan Adžić did not celebrate too much after the victory over Denmark, because the goal has not yet been achieved. Although the quarter finals are very close...
"We prepared well, went in completely relieved and performed the holiday in front of such an audience in the right way. The feeling of the girls was good, and we knew that the opponent would be awakened and with more energy than against Hungary. We were preparing for that kind of Denmark and that's why we had an answer when we got tired during the 2nd half. I am very satisfied with the position we are in and what we have shown, and these two days will be useful for us to recover and prepare well for an atypical team like Angola".
Did the reception of the fans affect the performance of your team and bring an excellent start?
"I wish they were even louder, we would be even better." The public prepared a little, but they don't know us. It only motivates us," Adžić alluded to the fact that during the previous two days, footage was shown on television showing the rough starts of the "lionesses" in defense.
Were there defensive lapses in the second half, in which you conceded twice as many goals as in the first?
"I am not satisfied. We repeatedly repeated some atypical errors. It did not disturb us, because the result counts, but these things must not be repeated. According to the young Hansen, we repeated it the most, we must not do that against Angola".
It is known that you do not like to single out female players, but how do you comment on the performance of Đurđina Jauković?
"Since the first match, she has been developing and giving more and more. She is such a person, she is becoming a serious player. Even before the championship, I knew that without her, the national team would not be able to survive in the rotations, and she handles it very well. She is very stable, even though she is 18 years old”.
Did you watch Angola?
"Not at all, but we have recorded all her matches. We will also go back three years, because how we defend ourselves and how someone attacks us is perhaps the most important material. We will also look at all the matches of Angola in the group. We are expecting an atypical African attack and players who move a lot. I believe that we will make a key step towards qualifying for the Olympic Games".
Are you thinking about the eventual opponent in the quarter-finals, Norway or Germany?
"Not me, not the team for sure. It always helped us when we focused only on the first step”.
Despite the defeat, Denmark coach Klavs Brun Jergensen was satisfied with his team's progress.
"We felt much better than against Hungary. In the first half, we had a lot of technical errors, which decided the match. We reduced it in the second and I'm happy with how we played the second 30 minutes. That gives me hope and enthusiasm before the round of XNUMX".
