A member of AEK Athens, Ana Milačić was declared the best handball player in Greece last season, in which she led AEK to both trophies in Greece.
The recognition was presented to her at an appropriate ceremony in Athens.
The best handball player is traditionally chosen by the coaches and captains of all handball clubs competing in the First Handball League of Greece.
It was announced that Milacic won the award unanimously.
"For me, this is a great incentive before the start of the new championship, in which our ambitions are championship again," said Milačić for the website of the University of Montenegro.
She is a graduate student at the Study Program for Sports Coaches for Handball at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro.
Milačić passed all categories in Budućnosti and the national team of Montenegro.
She also played for Naisa, Lokomotiva, Bisere, Metalurg, Patra and PAOK, from which she moved to AEK and signed a two-year contract.
She was also the winner of last year's award, which was awarded by the Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine in order to promote Montenegrin sports.
