Despite the sure victory against Montenegro, Croatian coach Slavko Goluža was not satisfied with his team's performance.
"I am satisfied with the victory, but with the game only for moments. We had an agreement that the pivot should not receive the ball and the players in positions three and four in the defense were supposed to close the pivot and let the backs shoot. Because when the pivot receives the ball ten times in one game, it means that a bad job was done in defense. On the other hand, we were static in attack and defended the goalkeeper", said Goluža.
Goluža, however, praised Montenegro.
"We have a good game behind us, but I expected that. Namely, everyone wrote off Montenegro due to injuries and many other things, but she showed character and fighting spirit, and that she never gives up in sports. With a team halved, she played a very good game. All the best to Montenegro from the bottom of my heart, and to play the best game against Belarus. Although they have already done a great job for me by qualifying for the European Championship, I want them to make a step forward, they can do it and they have a lot of support from me," said Goluža.
Croatian center back Domagoj Duvnjak said that his team must do better "because they know and can do better".
