Although they lost to North Macedonia in the last test before the European Championship (25:24), Montenegrin handball players were not dissatisfied.
They played better than the day before against Slovenia, when they were defeated 37:22 and announced that they could still compete with their rivals in Group A in Graz.
- We had a shot and an attack for a draw, but what pleases me is the game in defense, cooperation with the goalkeeper. It looked much better tonight than yesterday with Slovenia - said Vuk Lazović.
The experienced pivot noted that it is good that the convincing defeat against Slovenia was quickly forgotten.
- It was the first game after a long period, especially for me. That's why tonight's match meant a lot to us to get up and ready to go to the European Championship. We will have a few more training sessions before the first duel with Croatia, to arrange the dice and wait for the championship - said the experienced pivot.
Stevan Vujović noted that the impression was improved against Macedonia.
- We led most of the game, but in the end the Macedonians' recognizable game came to the fore again. They were constantly close, and in the end they only broke at one point. We knew about it, we tried to prevent it, but it turned out that at that moment they were more experienced than us. We are going to Graz with a better impression, positive energy, and I hope that we will play well and win some games - said the defender of the Lions.
