The European Handball Federation (EHF) announced today the best team, and declared Domagoj Duvnjak the best player of the European Championship.
As announced, more than 20.000 fans participated in the selection and voted for the best players, and the ideal team includes handball players from six countries.
The Spaniard Gonzalo Peres de Vargas was chosen as the goalkeeper of the ideal championship team, while the Norwegian Magnus Jendal is on the left wing.
His teammate Sander Sagosen is in the position of left back, and the best center back is Croatian representative Igor Karačić.
Jorge Makeda from Spain is in the position of right back, and Slovenian Blaž Janc covers the right wing.
The team also includes Bence Banhidi from Hungary, and the best defender is the German Hendrik Pekeler.
Croat Domagoj Duvnjak, leader of the "cowboys", was elected MVP.
The European Championship has reached the very end, and the national teams of Croatia and Spain will play in the final.
