Goran Simić will be part of the professional staff of the Montenegrin handball team in the upcoming qualifying matches against Sweden.
The celebrated Montenegrin goalkeeper was a member of the coaching staff of Vardar in the season in which the team from Skopje won the title of European champion and a goalkeeper coach in the national team during the term of coach Zoran Kastratović.
He will replace Gojko Vučinić, who is recovering in Spain after an operation he underwent due to serious health problems.
Simić accepted the invitation to be part of the coaching staff of the "lions" in the upcoming double match against the handball superpower, in which the goal is to win a point, which would open the door to participation in the European Championship, which will be hosted next year by Hungary and Slovakia.
Goran Simić is the father of the first goalkeeper of Montenegro, Nebojša Simić.
