The women's handball team of Montenegro is expected to play a rematch against Belarus on Tuesday (17 p.m.) in the play-off with the World Championship.
"Lionesses" are in the first match, on Friday in Podgorica, they won 29:23 and with a six-goal advantage, they welcome the upcoming match in Minsk.
In the first match, after better play in the second half, Montenegro managed to win and is close to going to the 15th consecutive major competition.
"We entered the game badly. We thought we could beat Belarus in the first ten minutes. In the first half there were a lot of drops, in the second we picked up - it was our game with a strong 6-0 defense, where with the help of Tanja Brnović were compact," said Nikolina Vukčević.
Belarus will have the help of the crowd in the second leg.
"We will give our best. I expect a strong match, the presence of the audience is allowed, the hall will be full. It will be very difficult," said Vukčević.
Marta Batinović says that the "lionesses" will go for victory in the second leg as well.
"I am satisfied with the victory in the first match. Belarus is an opponent against whom we do not have the opportunity to play often. Some of their players we know, some we are seeing for the first time. It is important that we won the first match, that we continue the series. In a month we have preparations for the Olympic Games game, so it's important to improve our shortcomings in the second match and to win. We're going to win as much as possible," said Batinović.
