Vipers handball players are the new rulers of Europe. In the Champions League final, Vipers beat Brest 34:28 (18:14).
Yesterday, Brest eliminated 40-month undefeated Đer with penalties and ran out of "fuel" in the grand final. From the start, Vipers played better, but Montenegrin representative Đurđina Jauković gave the French team a glimmer of hope.
At the beginning of the 11th minute, she forced the first penalty in the match with the score 9:4, then in the next four minutes she scored twice and in the 15th minute the score was even - 9:9.
However, the guests played much better, they had a cheerful Katrin Lunde in goal, who had 12 saves, and in the attack, a disorganized Rejstad, who scored as many as 12 goals from 16 shots.
At Brest, Ana Gros was the best with eight goals, while Jauković scored three goals from 10 shots.
In the match for the third place, the players of Đera outclassed CSKA with 32:21.
