The women's handball team of Montenegro was convincingly defeated by Slovenia 28:18 at the start of the World Championship.

"In the first part, the girls played well with each other, but the chances that are created in such a big competition must be used in order to be able to match...", said coach Bojana Popović.
"Congratulations to Pandžić, but maybe she didn't defend as well as we could have shot better and solved some chances differently".
Slovenia gained a big advantage by halftime.
"We tried to overcome that in the second half, to play a new game. Good teams punish that. In some moments we weren't even lucky. The girls fought, we tried, we looked for a line-up for both directions, but today it was very difficult." Popovic said.
