Itana Grbić scored six goals for Montenegro in a 28:18 loss to Slovenia at the start of the World Handball Championship.
But when asked what happened in Granollers, she answered:
"There were missed shots, I don't know if anyone has ever missed so many. Their goalkeeper defended, I congratulate them on the victory, but I can't say that they outplayed us, although the difference is huge. They didn't surprise us, they weren't something new prepared, we knew everything... We lacked focus, we lacked composure. If we had given everything we needed, we would have had an advantage at halftime," said Grbić.
Sunday is the deciding match for the 2nd stage - with Angola, which Montenegro beat 33:22 at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, but had Majda Mehmedović, Đina Jauković, Jelena Despotović...
Is it difficult to prepare a match in this situation?
"It's not difficult, but too difficult. There's no going back, we have to move on. The most important and most difficult game awaits us. We know Angola very well, an atypical rival, it's always awkward with them," said Grbić.
