The Montenegrin handball players achieved a great victory over North Macedonia in the 2nd round of the European Championship last night (28:24), keeping their chances of advancing to the second stage - they need a point in the duel with Slovenia, in the last round of Group A.
After last night's match, there was a conflict between our players and Macedonian fans, who were in large numbers in the hall in Debrecen.
In the TV broadcast and in the photos, it was seen how the boys in green jerseys were talking to the audience, that the conversation was not pleasant, and today the footage appeared - Marko Lasica at one point left the group that was applauding the fans, headed towards the Macedonian sector and spat !
The Macedonian fans reacted, but the other members of the Montenegrin national team quickly approached, led by Vasko Ševaljević, who listened to them and then said:
"If he did that, I apologize".
The situation calmed down quickly, although on the video it is heard that the Macedonians were revolted by Lasica's gesture, so there were also "juicy" curses addressed to the Montenegrin players.
As expected, fans are fans, and an athlete, a member of the national team, under no circumstances and at any cost should not allow himself to do what Lasica did, regardless of what happened during the game...
