After the victory over Slovenia, Vuk Lazović drew a lot of attention by saying that everything that is happening is normal, as if Montenegro had not defeated a team with a much higher reputation. But, after the triumph over Croatia (32:26), it seems that his words were adequate.
"Everyone retells it, it's nice for them, but we really feel that way. We breathe and play as one, complementing each other at every moment. The criterion hindered us a bit, I got two exclusions at the very start and we had to be careful. We played smart and imposed our game, and when that's the case, we have no problems," said the 33-year-old defense specialist.
Lazović already had two suspensions in the 9th minute, but he remained on the field until the end of the match.
"I am among the elders and if anyone can and must refrain, then it is me. I called the players next to me to play tight, not to separate, so that there would not be a situation where I would stay one on one in a large space and they would ask for two minutes. We fulfilled everything we set out to do and easily won".
Stefan Čavor returned to the team, Stevan Vujović and Miloš Božović should also be in the team against the Netherlands.
"Each player means something to us. We are one team with Stevan, Caki, and Miloš, and when they are not in the lineup, we all breathe as one. It's just a matter of time when they will join".
