Buducnost Bemaksa handball players will play tomorrow in Podgorica against Danish Esbjerg in the 12th round of the DELO EHF Champions League.
The rival of the Podgorica team is the leader of Group A, who has recorded nine wins, one draw and one loss each this season.
Buducnost Bemaks is in the penultimate place in the table with a win and ten losses.
Coach Bojana Popović said that Budućnost played the worst match of the season in Denmark.
"I believe in the girls, I know how hard they prepared for Esbjerg in the previous two weeks. We have to minimize the mistakes we made in the first match, although we know it won't be easy, because we are playing against a great team led by Reistad, which is one of the best players in the world," said Popović.
The Danish team was convincing in the first mutual duel, in September last year, 35:20.
Goalkeeper Armel Atingre believes that Esbjerg is a team made up of experienced and younger players who are at the top level.
"Certainly, Reistad and Tranborg stand out, but the other players are also excellent. For us, the most important thing is to continue to build our game and enjoy handball. Although I didn't play in Denmark, I watched our first match against each other and it was one of the most difficult matches. However, it was the beginning of the season, so now we need to see how much we have progressed," said Atingre.
Pivot Nikolina Vukčević expects a difficult match, stating that the team from Podgorica had been preparing for the visit of the Danish women for two weeks.
"Esbjerg is a typical representative of Scandinavian handball. We have to give our maximum, because we know what a challenge it is to play against the team that is the first in the group. We are a young team that is eager to fight and prove itself, it is important that we do what is asked of us on the field professional staff led by Bojana Popović," Vukčević said.
The duel in the Bemax Arena will start at 18:XNUMX, and the presence of spectators is allowed, up to a quarter of the total number of seats, with the possession of a covid certificate, wearing a mask and a distance of two seats between spectators.
In the other matches of the 12th round, FTC - Rostov Don and Brest - Borussia Dortmund will play on Saturday, while the clash between CSM Bucharest and Podravka is scheduled for Sunday.
