Montenegrin handball players beat Slovenia in Ljubljana 33:28 in the match of the fifth round of the EHF Euro Cup, with an excellent performance in the second half, which they won by six goals.
"We played well even in the first 30 minutes considering that we had only two training sessions together before the match and we need some time to relax and break the initial tension. There was a little tension at the beginning, we played hard and slowly, but as we caught the rhythm in the rest of the match, we started to play better," said coach Bojana Popović, stressing that there were many good things in the defense, especially in the first half.
"That's something we need to build our game on. We could have pulled more transition in the first half, but it was better in the second half. When we have a bigger rotation, when we can rest the players, the defense is better and the players are more rested in attack "A lot of players contributed, some more in attack and some in defense, but the bottom line is that we had real energy and good cooperation. It's the right path and that encourages me."
